The following is a 2016 email answering a Southern Utah University (SUU) student's questions about studying abroad at Meiji University. I'm now posting it on this blog in the hopes of it being somewhat helpful to others. Please note, I attended Meiji University between 2015-2016 and some things could have changed since then.

Starting tomorrow, February 1, 2016, Meiji University will begin accepting applications for this year's summer programs. There are three different programs to choose from which are Japanese Language, Cool Japan, and Law in Japan. Each program has a different deadline so be sure to check out the website for more details.
http://www.meiji.ac.jp/cip/english/programs/index.html The Meiji University Global Japanese Studies Student Committee (GJSSC, http://gjsschp.wix.com/meiji-gjssc & https://www.facebook.com/GJSSC/) holds many activities. One activity is a Welcome Party at the Nakano Campus for students every semester. The Welcome Party consists of games, food, and meeting new people. New International Students of the School of Global Japanese Studies get free admission and are encouraged to attend. Everyone else has to pay 500 yen to participate; this is to help cover the costs of food, prizes, and other material. |
